             Daycare Requirements

The purpose of Honey Creek Pet Resort’s Doggie Daycare program is to provide a safe, fun and stimulating social environment for dogs.  To ensure the safety and health of your pet and our other guests, we require all guests to comply with the following:

AGE:   All dogs must be at least 5 months of age or older.

SEX:    All dogs 7 months or older must be spayed or neutered.

VACCINES:   All dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations (done within 1 year of attendance). These include the DHLPP (combo shot), Rabies, Bordetella (kennel cough).  Please provide proof of your pet’s vaccinations with this application.

FLEA/TICK:   All dogs must be kept on regular flea/tick control program.  Any dog found to have fleas will be treated by the staff at the owner’s expense.

HEALTH:       All dogs must be in good health.  Owners will certify that their dog(s) are in good health and have not been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days.  Upon admission, all dogs must be free from any condition which could potentially jeopardize other guests.  Dogs that have been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days will require veterinarian certification of health to be admitted or readmitted.

BEHAVIOR:    All dogs must be non-aggressive and not be food or toy protective.  Owners will certify their dogs have not harmed or shown any aggressive or threatening behavior towards any person or any other dog(s).  Please remember, your pet will be spending time with other pets and the safety and health of all animals is our main concern.

ATTENDANCE:    Dogs approved for daycare, but who have not attended for an extended period of time, may require an evaluation before being readmitted.

APPLICATION:     All dogs must have a complete, up-to-date and approved application on file.  There is a one-time $25.00 non-refundable application screening fee for each.  This fee includes the first day of daycare or day boarding.

DAYS & HOURS:   Daycare is currently offered on Mondays, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays from 7am-6pm. Wednesdays from 7a-Noon and 5p-6p. Staff goes off duty at 6pm, any dogs not picked up by this time will be boarded overnight at the regular boarding fee.

RESERVATIONS:  Reservations are not required at this time.

We are currently offering Doggie Daycare Monday-Friday during our regular business hours for medium to large breed dogs.  If you have a small to medium sized dog that might enjoy group play, let us know and we'll work on putting together a play group for them too!

What is Doggie Daycare?  Daycare is off-leash group play for well-socialized, non-aggressive dogs who like to play with other like-minded dogs.  But it's more than that at Honey Creek!  Our supervised groups enjoy playing games with our staff, get naps and rest periods, and also practice polite behavior and some basic obedience commands.

Daycare dogs will enjoy the majority of their playtime outdoors in our 1 acre Bark Park.  The Barks & Rec building is fully heated and air-conditioned as needed when we need to be inside.  We have doggie toys and play equipment to play on as well.  And during the summer months we have doggie pools for everyone to play in!

If you'd like to have your dog evaluated for Doggie Daycare, please complete the Daycare Agreement on our Forms page and let us know which Tuesday or Thursday you'd like to start on.  There is a $25 non-refundable evaluation fee payable at the time of evaluation (that day's daycare or dayboard included).  Your dog will go through our temperament test and from there may be introduced to other dogs in the group.  If this evaluation and trial is a good match, your dog will be approved to attend.
